Omkara Movie
Omkara, Vishal Bhardwaj’s multistarrer movie is going to hit the theatres in July. It is an Indianised Version of Shakespeares Othello.
The movie is produced by Kumar Mangat - Business Manager of Ajay Devgan. Movie stars Ajay Devgan as Omkara (Othello) better known as Omi, Kareena Kapoor as Dolly Mishra (Desdemona), Vivek Oberoi as Kesu (Cassio) Omi’s trusted men, Saif Ali Khan as Langda Tyagi another Omi’s men, Bipasha Basu, Naseerudin Shah & Konkana SenSharma as Indu - Tyagi’s wife.
Omi is the leader of a band of outlaws. When Omi appoints Vivek Oberoi as his chief lieutenant, the decision makes Langda Tyagi angry and he starts poisoining Omi’s mind telling him that Kesu is having an affair with his love Dolly.
With the help of his wife Indu and Raju he carries our his evil deed which will led to destruction of Kesu. But Dolly is besotted with her beau and Kesu is unflinchingly loyal to his chief in command and will always stand by his side. But the seeds of jealousy has already been sowed in Omi’s mind and his heart is broken. And hell hath no fury like a lover who is scorned and so Omi with his own hands manages to destroy his love and loved ones.
