Lara Dutta
The first Miss Universe of the millennium 2000, 5’ 8” tall Lara Dutta is the youngest daughter of Wg. Cdr. L.K. Dutta (retired) and Jennifer Dutta. She was born in Ghaziabad, UP on 16th April, 1978. Her family moved to Banglore in 1981 where she completed her higher school. She secured highest score in English having excellent rank in her National Board exams. After that she went for step forward for graduation in Economics & communication at Bombay University.
High spirited & adventurous Lara won Femina Miss India crown among 60,000 applicants. She was also selected as Miss Photogenic in Hyderabad .
Lara is associated with AmFar (Americans for AIDS Research) and Hale House, a home for children born with HIV and drug addiction. She also involves herself with the Harvard AIDS Institute by hosting forums and participating in events throughout the year.
